WATER TREATMENT PLANT MASTER PLAN
Helena, Montana
Looking Toward the Future
The City of Helena was looking for a 20-year roadmap for their water treatment service that would address aging infrastructure, increase operating efficiencies and reliability, and provide for population growth. Required details included addressing regulatory requirements, strategies to improve system operations, maintenance and asset management, and planning for both the short and long-term goals through capital improvement projects and funding strategies.
Developing a Well-Grounded Plan
AE2S developed a guide for capital improvements to serve as a basis for future planning, financing, designing, constructing and implementing solutions to meet the City’s water treatment needs. These guides were developed based on evaluating the existing system, identifying areas of future growth, and understanding water demands.
