The Southeast Water Users District (SEWUD) received the Bronze Medal Award at the Great American Water Taste Test, held in Washington, D.C. as part of the Rural Water Rally in February 2018.
“I’m proud of our water system. This award proves rural North Dakota has high quality and great-tasting water that can compete at the national level,” says Steve Hanson, SEWUD General Manager.
The Gold Medal went to Arcadia Water Utility in Arcadia, Wisconsin, and the City of Salisbury Paleo Water Plant in Maryland took home the Silver Medal.
Five finalists were selected from a selection of water samples submitted from across the country. Each State’s rural water association holds an annual taste test, with the winners becoming eligible to compete at the national level. The judges rated each sample on clarity, odor, andvtaste.
AE2S is proud to work on SEWUD’s current expansion project that will bring award-winning drinking water to about 500 new customers.
Congratulations SEWUD!
