AE2S announces the promotion of Andrew Pratt from Project Engineer to Structural Practice Leader. In his new role, Andrew oversees the business development and technical excellence of structural engineering projects for the firm’s clients in the Rocky Mountain Region, Upper Midwest, and beyond.

“We are looking forward to Andrew continuing the AE2S commitment to excellence of our growing structural group,” says Scott Schaefer, AE2S Practices Director.

“The Structural Engineering group is loaded with talent. We are eager to take on bigger projects and challenges,” says Andrew.

Andrew joined AE2S in December 2023 and is based out of the Lehi, Utah office. He is originally from Montrose, Colorado and attended Brigham Young University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a master’s degree in Structural Engineering. Andrew is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Utah and the American Institute of Steel Construction.

“I’ve always loved building things and seeing things that I worked on come to life. I see projects as complex puzzles that need to be solved.” says Andrew. “I enjoy the collaborative and supportive atmosphere at AE2S. I am inspired to be around people who value excellence above all else, because this will foster both client satisfaction and future growth.”

Currently, Andrew is excited to be working on a combined elementary and middle school project. “It’s a complex two-story structure with interesting architecture and structural needs for the City of Grand Forks, North Dakota,” says Andrew.

In his downtime, Andrew is an avid mountain biker who takes advantage of Utah’s amazing mountains as often as possible. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children. He lived in Europe for a few years and says he would like to travel back there again in the future.
